Roanoke Times Highlights Elliott Todd Solo Show at Formato Fine Arts

Updated: Jun 6

Wytheville, VA – The Roanoke Times recently featured an article on the highly anticipated solo show of North Carolina glass artist Elliott Todd, opening this Friday at the Formato Fine Arts (formerly Local Artists and Sellers) gallery in Wytheville. Todd’s innovative glass sculptures, which resemble three-dimensional drawings, are set to captivate audiences.

Elliott Todd, renowned nationally and with over to 100,00 Instagram followers, creates stunning wall-mounted pieces by shaping glass tubing with gas torches. Lily Formato, the 19-year-old owner of the gallery, discovered Todd’s work in Asheville, North Carolina, and was instantly drawn to his unique artistry. “They’re absolutely gorgeous,” she remarked.

Formato’s gallery not only features Todd’s mesmerizing glass sculptures but also showcases works from about 40 regional artists across its two-story space, which includes an art studio. “You’re not just seeing the glass artist, you’re seeing all this local art,” she said. “It’s quite awesome.”
